How to Make Your Cat Love You More
After living with cats almost all my life, I’ve realized one thing — Cats are the most caring and sweetest creatures ever!
Most pet-owners rub cats back as an action to express love, but what if there are more sensitive points and areas that cats want us humans to pet them?
The Neck Area of the Cat
Do you know cats love when you scratch their neck and also when you rub their head?
Cat loves this!
This is an extremely successful trick that any new cat owners first do and this improves the relationship and really helps to bond with their pet cat like never before.
Cats are sometimes stressed or not in the mood. Playing with their whiskers are like some kind of energy drink for them.
Initially, when you play with the whiskers, your cat will show a little resistance, but after doing it a few times. Your cat may or may not like it, but it would surely improve their mood and make them active. After playing with the whiskers, your cat will be jumping around and would appear to be happy and relaxed.
With that said, whiskers are generally very sensitive. Cats and wild cats have been using whiskers to hunt down their prey with accuracy in the dark.
Since whiskers are generally very sensitive by nature — It does make the cat slightly resistant when you try to pet them by rubbing. Most cats will move their head backward, this is not because they do not like it, but because of the pleasure, they get from the sensitivity.
There are three ways in which you could play with the whiskers:
- Take the longer side of hair and rub between your fingers
- You could twist the whiskers freely by using only your index finger, just hold the longer side of the hair and keep circling your finger and make sure to slightly poke the skin as well.
- With your thumb and your index finger, just massage the whiskers.
- Another way is pulling the hair slowly.
Below the Ear
Well, most of us might play or rub near the cat’s ear, but did you know that they enjoy it a lot more when you start petting below their ear?
Cat’s get into an ecstasy zone that they start drooling, and then they are awakened in such a zest and — starts to come back asking for more.
You should know some cats may not like this as they could be slightly sensitive than others to this and hence may not like it.
Also, after this petting session, they might paw their ear with their legs.
If your cat is doing this with a lot of vigor after the petting session, maybe your cat does not like it, but your other cats might do.
The End Tips of the Jaw
Just like the ear, the jaw is also as effective as the ear. Since it is separated by very little distance, cats seem to love the rubbing of their jaw end as it is not too sensitive like the ear.
Though some cats may still drool, and paw their ear with their leg, but they would not do with vigor and would mostly strike 2–3 times. This area of petting is acceptable by most cats, and they usually come more for this, and they do enjoy it.
Massaging the Hair Below the Lips
Yes, another most sensitive part of the cat’s body is the hair right below their lips, just slowly and softly massage the area. The cats, like always show some resistance at first, but they do keep coming back after a few instances.
The Ultimate love from your cat
Well, If you want to become a favorite human of your cat, go ahead and try these. Let me also warn you. Once they latch onto you, they would keep pestering for more.
If you are someone patient and, understanding you wouldn’t have the trouble. Cats do test your patience a lot.
Beware and all the best!
